Phase Out for End Of Life (EOL) Softphones: Plantronics Hub

Poly will no longer support the following softphones in Plantronics Hub and Plantronics Manager Pro, due to Vendor's product end-of-life (EOL), Vendors no longer providing API/SW Application Support or low usage by Poly customers:

Avaya

  • IP Agent
  • IP Softphone

Cisco

  •  UC Integration for Microsoft Lync (CUCI-Lync)
  •  UC Integration for Microsoft Office Communicator (CUCIMOC)
  •  Cisco UC Client
  •  Webex Connect

Microsoft

  •  Skype Consumer – Headset API support has been removed by Microsoft since version 7.41.0.101

Below is our timeline of the support phase-out for these softphones:

  • 30-June: the EOL’d softphones will be removed from supported softphone list on the website
  •  Summer 2019: Supporting code will be removed, starting with Plantronics Hub v3.14. Poly

Headsets will continue to work for audio-only with the EOL softphones.

Note: Plantronics Hub v3.14 (with Plantronics Manager Pro) can still be used to manage the headset for
firmware and settings updates, etc. Customers who chose not to update Plantronics Hub to v3.14 should be
aware that Poly only supports the current released version and one prior version of Plantronics Hub.
